The Cave Church of Santa Maria degli Angeli (originally known as the Church of the Tombs) can be found just beside the Ponte Acquedotto. It has a nave and 2 side aisles, and the central apse contains some rather faded frescos (of Christ the Pantocrator) and an altar used for the distribution of the Eucharist. Outside, some earth graves indicate the existence of an ancient burial ground.
